This weed-infused canna honey bourbon smash cocktail recipe works well with whatever whiskey you have on hand. It uses cannabis infused honey to provide a kick of THC. Get the canna honey recipe here.
This weed edibles cocktail has a nice sour kick, it’s similar to a whiskey sour but a bit less sweet. Kick back on a warm summer day — and blast off!
- 2 oz. bourbon (or substitute canadian whiskey, rye, scotch, or whatever whisky you have on hand)
- 1 teaspoon canna honey (20 mg THC if you use this canna honey recipe)
- 2 oz. Fresh Apple Cider
- 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz. simple syrup (recipe below)
Add cannahoney to glass with apple cider and lemon mix. Stir vigorously to combine honey with other ingredients. It helps if honey is warmed, try a few seconds in the microwave if need be.
Fill cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add bourbon and honey/cider/sour mix. Shake hard for 15 seconds, strain into a rocks glass over ice. Cheers!
To make the simple syrup, combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water and bring to boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and stir to combine, cook for 10 minutes and cool.
How much THC is in this canna honey whiskey smash edibles cocktail?
This recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of cannabis honey that has a THC dosage of 20 mg. See how to make cannabis honey here. That recipe is easily adjusted to make your honey dosage stronger or weaker. If you’re purchasing honey that is stronger than 20 mg/teaspoon, they reduce the amount of honey used in your whiskey smash cocktail or it may knock you sideways.
Make sure to use caution when consuming marijuana edibles cocktails. The alcohol hits quickly but the effects of the weed may take a bit to kick in, so don’t overdo it especially on your first time. You can always wait an hour and try more.
If you’re looking to drink a bunch of these canna honey bourbon smash cocktails in one sitting, consider reducing the amount of THC infused honey to 10 mg per drink, that way you can start to feel the bourbon without getting blasted to your chair two hours later. Cheers!
